Reviled (Blind Revenge)

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

Reviled

The war in Iran is reviled

By all sides left and right

A war of spite and guile

A fight not worth the fight

We have aided the oppressors

And rallied the world against

We’ve grown weaker in every sector

We are weaker in our defense

Now we’re paying more for oil

And we’re paying more for food

We’re engaged on foreign soil

And our strategy seems crude

It’s a war that can’t be won

It’s a war for Netanyahu

It’s a war of shock and stun

Where we’re wrong in all we do

We are partners in a war crime

Against all of Palestine

It is so far beyond the time

To let this criminal war unwind

We remember October 7

It’s enough to make us cringe

But just like September 11

There is a limit to blind revenge

Casualties of War

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: TRUMP

Casualties of War

You gave us a promise on election day

No more stupid wars

America wanted another way

They chose to say: no more

So now we find ourselves at war

For Netanyahu and Israel’s sake

So we ask ourselves once more

How many must die for your mistake?

You don’t know how to say you’re wrong

You have played the warlord’s fool

Your sense of power far too strong

You forgot the golden rule

Don’t gamble more than you can lose

The very faith of MAGA nation

Now you cannot face the news

A sense of brazen indignation

This is the war you wanted

Now everything’s at stake

You pretend that you’re undaunted

How many will die for your mistake?

Foreign Policy Blunder

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

Foreign Policy Blunder

We were going to rule the world with thunder

The awesome might of our war machine

What we got instead was a massive blunder

One of the worst we’ve ever seen

Whose was the brain behind this mess?

Did they not foresee the Hormuz Strait?

The MAGA team has failed the test

They have not made America great

They thought it was a piece of cake

A quick and easy declaration

All our enemies would awake

To an age of American domination

Benjamin Netanyahu is not pleased

He led our leader by the nose

He’ll tell his people we appeased

But the sense of skepticism grows

Our president has made a colossal error

His party will go down in flames

He has unleashed a world of terror

He should hide his head in shame

Ukraine Rises (Again)

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: UKRAINE

Ukraine Rises Again

Trump humiliated Zelensky

The brave leader of Ukraine

He took up arms with the Israelis

In a war he can't sustain

Who is laughing now?

Who is feeling shamed?

Europe made a vow

To rise behind Ukraine

The barrier that was Orban

Who once stood in the way

Voted out, now that he’s gone

Europe stands with Ukraine

The futile war with Iran

Still searches for an end

As it pushes on and on

Netanyahu will not bend

Our leader made a foolish bet

He put our money down

Now we’re saddled with his debt

Our hands are tied and bound

Ukraine is on the rise

While we are in decline

We grow tired of his lies

He has put us in a bind

The Shots

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: TRUMP

The Shots

I call the shots!

You think that you do

Netanyahu does not!

We know that’s not true

You think you’re the man

No one else pulls the strings

You’re the one in command

You can do anything

Netanyahu just smiles

And says you’re the best

And still all the while

He couldn’t care less

He will do as he pleases

And that’s war to the end

Until our aid ceases

He will call you his friend

He calls the shots

Like Cheney for Bush

This war will be fought

Until his last push

He’s played you the fool

He’ll play you again

It’s his golden rule

It’s mice against men

Netanyahu's War

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

Netanyahu’s War

Netanyahu’s doing all he can

To defeat the cause of peace

That is the constant Israeli plan

He wants them all deceased

Trump has tired of the war

He wants to open up the Strait

He can’t remember what it’s for

There’s too much on his plate

But Bebe’s war will never end

As long as he’s in power

He will not break, he will not bend

Not a minute, not an hour

Bombs will fall on Lebanon

As long as he is able

Until the last of them is gone

Peace is off the table

He will sabotage negotiations

Like a cog in the machine

A total breakdown of relations

There’s war in every scene

Get rid of him before too long

And there’s no way back again

The warmongers are much too strong

Their wars will never end

Anti-Semitism

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: GLOBAL POLITICS

Anti-Semitism

Netanyahu is a jew

But all jews are not Netanyahu

To believe that this is true

Is very old and nothing new

To oppose a government is just

When the government is out of line

We have run out of all trust

In a leader who seems blind

To the needs of his nation

While he prosecutes his war

He has sacrificed his salvation

To his desire to settle scores

Yet the people can’t be blamed

For the crimes of just one man

For that would be a shame

And a failure to understand

You can’t blame the entire group

For the sake of Palestine

That would be an endless loop

In the name of the divine

Discrimination is wrong

In every form it takes

Recrimination won’t be long

The forsaken will forsake

The Opposition Rises

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: RESISTANCE

Opposition Rises

The opposition rises

Like the Phoenix from the ashes

The whole world is in crisis

As the global system crashes

We are waiting for a change

Not a surface decoration

For the people are estranged

From this war seeking nation

Our money seems to shrink

Every time we drive our cars

How long before we sink?

Just how far is too far?

They take away our friends

They’ll shoot us if we resist

On their mercy we depend

We are governed by the fist

Now they’ve taken it abroad

This grand brutality of force

Netanyahu playing God

Now we’re fighting Israel’s wars

Turn around and make it stop

This war has got to end

We are not the global cop

Let the wounds begin to mend

House of Cards

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

House of Cards

You have no cards, the president said

He seemed to imply Ukraine was dead

This is not a game, Zelensky replied

Our president was on the other side

Now we move to the Strait of Hormuz

The president says you’ll pay your dues

But China has something else in mind

If you move ahead you may fall behind

The Iranians may not have the cards

But China does if we push too hard

They could furnish weapons across the border

And rearrange the new world order

If we want to play this deadly game

We should know that we’re the one to blame

Netanyahu may have started the war

But we’re the one who settled the score

Now we’re stuck in a terrible mess

We wanted it all but we’ll settle for less

The price of oil continues to rise

While the president issues his alibis

Killing Journalists

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: ISRAEL AT WAR

Killing Journalists

They’re killing journalists with impunity

In defiance of the law

Killing journalist to prove their unity

With their nation and their god

Is this a war for their survival?

They would tell you that it is

Yet their hatred smells of tribal

They kill to hide their sins

They’ve become what they despise

A people bent on genocide

We have grown tired of the lies

There is an emptiness inside

They have suffered so much loss

We must understand their pain

Yet now the world must pay the cost

Of missiles dropping down like rain

What kind of people are they?

To seek vengeance above all else

They are lying when they pray

They will meet their god in hell

The Saboteur

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: NETANYAHU

The Saboteur

With the Strait of Hormuz closed

And the whole world feeling squeezed

Netanyahu plays the rogue

He derailed the talks with ease

It did not apply to Lebanon

The bombing there increased

Did they get their signals wrong?

Or did he sabotage the peace?

The story played on Wall Street

The Dow went through the sky

Netanyahu saw defeat

So he exposed it as a lie

Now the fighting will go on

In fact it hardly skipped a beat

Netanyahu played the con

That made the lie complete

Iran is fighting to survive

Like all of Palestine before

The cause of peace has lost its drive

We will carry on with war

The brutal goal is demolition

Reduce it all to a wasteland

That is Netanyahu’s mission

And he will do it if he can

If that means mass genocide

That is just the way it goes

They’ve got us on their side

So we will watch the horrors grow

In Good Faith

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

In Good Faith

When we bargain with Ukraine

We serve as Putin’s protégé

When we talk with Tehran

We’re like a puppet on a stage

Trump has lost his dirty war

Vladimir is off his game

Netanyahu keeps the score

Every party shares the blame

We do not bargain in good faith

We make demands and threats

You can’t negotiate with hate

The wars are piling up the debts

In the end we’ll have won nothing

But a damaged reputation

To give it credence is insulting

Time to face the implications

That our leader is a child

Bomb the world to have his way

The laws of reason he’s defiled

For these acts we’ll have to pay

America Stands Alone

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

America Stands Alone

The Middle East is on fire

The Strait of Hormuz is closed

We are balancing on a wire

Our president is loathed

Betrayed at every turn

Europe goes its own way

When will we ever learn?

This is the price we pay

Netanyahu is our only friend

The Israelis tire of his act

We all demand that this war end

Before the next attack

Another hundred billion dollars

To be thrown into the flames

The debt keeps growing taller

Just to glorify his name

The world has lost its breath

Seems his heart is made of stone

Mass destruction, pointless death

And America stands alone

Netanyahu's War

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR IN IRAN

Netanyahu’s War

A billion dollars a day in Netanyahu’s war

The man has gone insane

As he asks for billions more

It’s the Middle East refrain

You can hear the lions roar

You can feel the grief and pain

And we know what lies in store

You have sacrificed your cause

The way the Dubya did before you

You have trashed international laws

The economy must have bored you

Now all you had is lost

Nothing will restore you

And we will pay the cost

Now boots are on the ground

In a war that never ends

Until a bitter truce is found

Though the wounds will never mend

The whole world hears the sound

On oil we all depend

And the markets will go down

And down and down again

Nightmare in Iran

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR IN IRAN

Nightmare Scenario

We answered the killing of civilians

By killing hundreds more

In a contest of crude reptilians

How should we keep the score?

They’ve closed the Strait of Hormuz

To us and all our friends

When you “win” this war you lose

It has no foreseeable end

So the price of gas will rise

And economies will fall

As toxins fill the skies

So Netanyahu can stand tall

Our alliances are on the block

Our people feel the pain

Our enemies will not talk

Our relationships are strained

All because we chose a war

Without a solid plan

We still don’t know what for

We may never understand
