The Occupation

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: LEBANON

The Occupation

Remember the Golan Heights

It once belonged to another nation

But Syria lost its seven-day fight

Now it’s an Israeli occupation

The southern part of Lebanon

Belongs to the Lebanese

With the Israeli presence strong

There can be no lasting peace

Israel refuses to withdraw

While Hezbollah is still armed

They will violate global law

While relying on their “charm”

End the Israeli occupation

This cannot be allowed

Lebanon is a sovereign nation

And the people there are proud

You cannot seize another’s land

Though you may feel justified

Lebanon must make a stand

For their sovereignty and pride

Relative Pain

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

Relative Pain

What Iran experienced in four weeks

Ukraine has suffered for four long years

And Gaza has suffered for nearly three

The time for peace is long past near

While all eyes were turned to Iran

The way of the world goes on and on

The passage of time does not hold still

No matter how many are killed

Humans adapt to all manner of hell

That does not mean that all is well

Children will play in a pile of rubble

But we do not live in a bubble

Open your eyes to all these wars

Just imagine they’re at your door

They are open wounds we need to mend

The world must demand an end

The spoils of war can go on no longer

All civilized nations must come together

Institutions of peace must be stronger

To banish all wars forever

Killing Journalists

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: ISRAEL AT WAR

Killing Journalists

They’re killing journalists with impunity

In defiance of the law

Killing journalist to prove their unity

With their nation and their god

Is this a war for their survival?

They would tell you that it is

Yet their hatred smells of tribal

They kill to hide their sins

They’ve become what they despise

A people bent on genocide

We have grown tired of the lies

There is an emptiness inside

They have suffered so much loss

We must understand their pain

Yet now the world must pay the cost

Of missiles dropping down like rain

What kind of people are they?

To seek vengeance above all else

They are lying when they pray

They will meet their god in hell

The Saboteur

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: NETANYAHU

The Saboteur

With the Strait of Hormuz closed

And the whole world feeling squeezed

Netanyahu plays the rogue

He derailed the talks with ease

It did not apply to Lebanon

The bombing there increased

Did they get their signals wrong?

Or did he sabotage the peace?

The story played on Wall Street

The Dow went through the sky

Netanyahu saw defeat

So he exposed it as a lie

Now the fighting will go on

In fact it hardly skipped a beat

Netanyahu played the con

That made the lie complete

Iran is fighting to survive

Like all of Palestine before

The cause of peace has lost its drive

We will carry on with war

The brutal goal is demolition

Reduce it all to a wasteland

That is Netanyahu’s mission

And he will do it if he can

If that means mass genocide

That is just the way it goes

They’ve got us on their side

So we will watch the horrors grow

War Fever

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

War Fever

War is like a fever

It rises and it spreads

When she speaks we believe her

In her wickedness and dread

From Israel to Lebanon

From Tehran to the Strait

She whispers and you’re gone

The reach of war is great

She tugs at all of Europe

The price of oil spreads the pain

The costs are going up and up

From the Emirates to Ukraine

Once you start a war it rages

Like a spiral out of sight

A scourge upon the ages

Until she saps your will to fight

The besieged people of Iran

They were slaughtered by their leaders

Now they’re dying from our bombs

Some were fooled by the deceivers

When the fever takes her toll

She will break a thousand hearts

She will pierce your very soul

She will tear your world apart

In Good Faith

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

In Good Faith

When we bargain with Ukraine

We serve as Putin’s protégé

When we talk with Tehran

We’re like a puppet on a stage

Trump has lost his dirty war

Vladimir is off his game

Netanyahu keeps the score

Every party shares the blame

We do not bargain in good faith

We make demands and threats

You can’t negotiate with hate

The wars are piling up the debts

In the end we’ll have won nothing

But a damaged reputation

To give it credence is insulting

Time to face the implications

That our leader is a child

Bomb the world to have his way

The laws of reason he’s defiled

For these acts we’ll have to pay

Woe (Horrors of War)

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: IRAN WAR

Woe (Horrors of War)

People of Israel

Look at what you have unleashed

A world of sorrow hate and grief

What horrors will unfold

People of America

Look at what you have enabled

A globe perpetually unstable

All progress is on hold

People of Iran

We’re sorry for your tragic state

A world in chaos is your fate

It is a world of woe

People of Iraq

What lessons have we learned?

Play with fire, you will get burned

The story has been told

People of the world

Hunker down and hold in place

The consequences we will face

This arrogance grows old

There are no words of comfort

There are only prayers for peace

Like a flower in the dusty earth

We will hope for war’s defeat

King of War

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

King of War

They wouldn’t make me King of Peace

So I’ll be the King of War

Like Vladimir I’ll be the beast

Listen!  Hear me roar!

I’ll start off in the Middle East

No one’s done that before

You would not make me King of Peace

So I’ll be the King of War

Let’s have a war for Mexico

They haven’t done enough

From Chiapas down to Jalisco

Do not think that it’s a bluff

Ask Maduro in Caracas

What he thinks of me now

He went down without a fuss

All he could say was Wow!

Cuba’s just across the lake

No one likes them anyway

That would be a piece of cake

The avenger’s on his way

Next we’ll conquer Canada

They wouldn’t dare resist

Just like that war in Gren-ada

Let’s put them on the list

You all know what’s coming next

Greenland will be mine

It won’t even be complex

We’ll take them by design

They’ll all say I’m an awful man

But it wasn’t what I wanted

War was never in my plan

But now my house is haunted

Remember Gaza

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: GAZA

Remember Gaza

Gaza is a pile of rubble

With a hundred thousand dead

If you live inside the bubble

There are no more tears to shed

There is no peace on the strip

There is only misery

No one is planning a Gaza trip

Except those recording history

It is a tragic tale of genocide

That the world has forgotten

The Israelis take it all in stride

The promises that might have been

We remember the first attack

It was horrific beyond belief

Yet the horrors fade to black

As the people seek relief

They’ve planned a beachside paradise

But there’s something in the way

The Gazans must be sacrificed

Very few of them can stay

Luminaries of Peace

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: GLOBAL POLITICS

Luminaries of Peace

Never has there been

Such a luminous group of men

Dedicated to the cause of peace

From Pakistan to the Middle East

They’ve all put up a stake

A pact they’ve promised not to break

From Hungary’s Orban

To Mohammed bin Salman

And Turkey’s infamous Erdogan

From Pakistan’s Zardari to Javier Milei

They take their parts in Donald’s play

Did I mention Subianto?

There may be others we don’t know

The notorious MBZ

And bin Hamad the Qatari

And oh yes, Netanyahu

Who has yet to pay his dues

All gather around their chair

The heavyweight with golden hair

He is seated in perpetuity

To collect his grand annuities

As he greets them at the door

They will put an end to war

Trump’s Board of Peace:

Javier Milei, Argentina

Viktor Orban, Hungary

Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia

Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan

Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia

Recep Erdogan, Turkey

Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ), UAE

Tamom bin Hamad, Qatar

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel

Bondi Beach

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: GLOBAL POLITICS

Bondi Beach

We mourn the dead of Bondi Beach

As we grieve the dead in Palestine

Mercy moves beyond our reach

There is no justice we can find

The Jewish people cannot be blamed

For the mindless vengeance of one man

For though they share a Jewish name

The stand apart on the Zion plan

Each man and woman on the earth

Has a right to their own beliefs

Each man and woman has their worth

And is entitled to share relief

When we seek vengeance as a cause

You can be sure it will strike back

If we’re a people of civilized laws

We can’t condone such vile attacks

So let us mourn all those who die

In the cause of vengeful pride

Let us condemn the reasons why

End the vengeance on both sides

The War Must End

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: WAR

The War Must End

The people of Gaza are tired of war

The Israeli people must bend

Let the waves of hatred be no more

It is time for the war to end

The Russian people have had their fill

Too long the Ukrainians defend

Their leaders must swallow a bitter pill

It is time for the war to end

Yet Putin will never give up the fight

As long as his pride depends

As long as the people believe he’s right

This war will never end

The Israelis will bomb to the end of days

As long as there’s money to spend

Their destructive might is on display

And the war will never end

When the Russian people are ready for peace

This message they will send

Putin’s vengeance must finally cease

It’s time for the war to end

When the Israeli people are ready for peace

This message they will send

Netanyahu’s war must finally cease

It is time for the war to end

As long as vengeance rules the day

The wounds of war will not mend

Subversion will always find a way

And the wars will never end

Palestine

 RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: PALESTINE

Palestine

Recognizing Palestine

Does not make it so

Changing water into wine

Doesn’t mean our crops will grow

The people will not go away

Disappear into the sand

Just because the Israelis say

This is our promised land

There must be a give and take

If we are to live in peace

All accords will surely break

Without exchange at the least

Palestine must have a state

Israel must be secure

Eternal war will be our fate

Without a path that ensures

Palestine must compromise

Israel must find a way

When both sides choose the wise

The world will greet a brighter day

Netanyahu Stands Alone

RANDOM JACK POETRY HOUR: ISRAEL AT WAR

Netanyahu Stands Alone

Woe be unto Israel

Leave this man at home

You need not be his keeper

Netanyahu stands alone

The harm that he has done

The people must atone

Woe be unto Israel

Netanyahu stands alone

Vengeance is his mission

A bomb for every stone

Sewing hard divisions

Netanyahu stands alone

The death toll rises every day

Mournful mothers moan

Searching for another way

Netanyahu stands alone

So many dead and buried

Piles of flesh and bones

The burden you must carry

Netanyahu stands alone

(Netanyahu comes to the UN.)
