No Background To The Sun

a body stretched over a broken window
not through but over, the frame of the window
and the pane is on the ground, the blood
of the victim has been stepped on, the memory
of the event wasn't captured in a photograph
until eyes blinked on the first approach

dust is blown up in the air and slowly, slowly
settles and mixes with the blood and glass
under a microscope, unless its a good
microscope will not show the design or how it
changed the DNA, the glass will eventually
be collected and thrown away, it won't be
analyzed, its just a body

a body scarred with glass, deep cuts,
not incisions, once rigor mortis sets in the dialogue
is lost, Don't believe.
